Did you know that modern Vietnam has passed a dark period of war in its past? Yes, history is history- but that history is worth remembering. The War Remnants Museum stands for that purpose.
The story behind the museum
‘War Remnants Museum’ is not how it was used to be called at the beginning. It was the ‘Exhibition House for the US and Puppet Crimes. But, in the ’90s America and Vietnam started having smooth relations with each other, and the name had to change as a result.
Things to see – outside the museum
Outside the building, you’ll come across some massive military hardware. Most of them belonged to the Americans. The F-5A fighter and the UH-1 attract everyone who comes to see the exhibits here.
Things to see – inside the museum
Once you take a look at the photos displayed, you will quickly understand that war is never a joke. These photos are horrific, and they are enough for you to realize the darkest side of a war.
