Museum of Islamic Art
The museum was designed by the famous designer I.M. Pei, set in the middle of the aquamarine sea ensures that both the outside and the inside of the structure are a sight to behold. There is a shiny marble interior with well-lit corridors, a winding staircase and a sense of mystery that guides you into the bowels of history.
Al Fanar Islamic Culture Centre
The Al Fanar Jumma Masjid is about 10 minutes’ drive from Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli and is an iconic Doha landmark with its spiral-shaped minaret. This is the largest mosque in Qatar and is a must-visit when in the vicinity.
The Katara Mosque
The Katara Mosque is probably one of the most beautiful mosques in the world. With a triangular patio and walls beautifully set with mosaics of blue tilework and exquisite woodwork, the exterior is a work of art. The interior is utterly breath-taking with majestic chandeliers and glamourous pillars.
The Pigeon Towers
Located close to Katara Mosque are the Pigeon Towers which were constructed in 2006/2007 using environmentally friendly construction materials.
