Bayon Temple
This temple was the last to be constructed in the Angkor Complex and is known for its smiling rock-surfaced faces. The great Buddhist King Jayavarman VII built this during the late 12th -13th CE, towards the end of his life. Ta Prohm
Another work of King Jayavarman VII, Ta Prohm Temple was dedicated to the king’s mother during the 12th century. The site has enormous tree roots rising high beyond the temple and is a magical-looking place surrounded by jungle thickets and lush greenery.
Preah Khan
Also called the ”temple of the sacred sword”, this Buddhist temple was founded by King Jayavarman VII. A mesmerising aspect of Preah Khan Temple is the massive trees with roots clinging to the laterite and sandstone walls.
