Sigiriya Rock Fortress
This monolith dates back to millions of years. At the summit, there are palace ruins, the throne, and a large pool that never dries up. The hydraulic technology in Sigiriya is still a mystery to this day. According to some claims, the actual palace was inside the rock, which was sealed off by British archaeologists!
Pidurangala
The entrance to Pidurangala Rock is via a temple. It is thought that King Kashyapa came to this location to pay his respects to the Buddha. The ascent can be tricky, unlike Sigiriya. Dambulla Cave Temple
Dambulla Cave Temple is built over a rock that is 160 meters in height. There are 80 discovered caves; however, only five are accessible. Dambulla Cave Temple, which is located 20 minutes from Sigiriya, contains impressive examples of ancient Sinhalese art and sculpture.
An Elephant Safari
National parks close to Sigiriya include Minneriya and Kaudulla. The elephant gathering takes place from July to October in these parks.
